Is CBD the most powerful antioxidant?

CBD powerful antioxidant

CBD is a cannabinoid that is a powerful antioxidant, just how powerful is it?

CBD is a simplified version of alpha (a)-tocopherol, the most active form of tocopherols. Some like myself believe CBD is the most potent antioxidant available. Even more powerful than vitamin E and C. In fact, the US government agrees with this statement, as it has a patent on cannabinoids for their antioxidant properties and has since 1999. They even claim “cannabinoids that act as free radical scavengers for use in prophylaxis and treatment of disease” This patent,  1999/008769 also states examples of diseases it could help.

CBD affects inflammation

CBD is also an anti-inflammatory. It reduces pro-inflammatory cytokines in the body, signaling molecules that regulate and mediate immunity and inflammation. The same, CBD inhibits an eicosanoids enzyme that also affects an inflammation response. Advil and Asprin work the same way. CBD plays an important role in the body’s response to inflammation.

Then there’s the entire body system

Not only is CBD a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, but it also works directly with our bodies’ endocannabinoid (ECS) system. CBD stimulates the ECS.

The ECS is a body system that we were not taught about in school, and we did not discover it until 1992. So, we are still learning a lot about it; however, one thing is for sure, it is a crucial body system. To illustrate, this system keeps all body functions in check and operating more effectively. It makes sure body signals are fired correctly and in tune, keeping the body working optimally and balanced. In short, this balance is important and affects disease, nerve function, mental health, immune system, cell health, and much more. So, when taken orally, CBD stimulates the ECS, which is the homeostasis in the body that keeps us in check.

Are we on the same page?

CBD regulates homeostasis, is high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatories

The body is self-regulating; it is continuously shifting to keep balanced, in sync, and not out of wack. This process, called homeostasis, provides a network that balances everything from temperature, appetite, and nerve function, to the endocrine system, mood, concentration, overall recovery, and more.

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) regulates the process of homeostasis in your body through cannabinoids that are made internally (endocannabinoids). Your cells have receptors that also accept phytocannabinoids (phyto, meaning plant-derived) that nourish this same homeostasis function.

Hemp-derived CBD is a phytocannabinoid that should be taken to stimulate homeostasis. Beyond stimulating homeostasis, CBD ranks the most potent in plant antioxidants and is high in anti-inflammatories. Supplementing CBD is crucial, as in the same perception as vitamins and herbs.

Cannabinoids play a significant role in a balanced body. Are you getting enough CBD in your daily regimen?

Paradise found in Homeostasis

Natural Rhythms of life

Homeostasis, the biological balance of the natural rhythms of life and our bodies, has a deep impact on our mental, physical, and emotional health. Attaining homeostasis in life, pun intended, is truly a balancing act. Finding and maintaining equilibrium in the midst of a lava flow of stress can seem like climbing mountains. However, when you reach the peak and look out over the sun setting, painting the sky with brilliant lavender and glorious orange, it feels like you’ve found paradise.

Reaching these heights is helped by the body’s endocannabinoid system. CBD works in unison with the receptors in our bodies, allowing our endocannabinoid system (ECS) to support and regulate mood, appetite, immune system, sleep cycles, and anxiety levels. This helps us achieve proper levels of health and mental clarity. CBD, derived from phytocannabinoids naturally occurring in hemp plants, can help us hit this sweet spot.

The rush of sensation we get from zipping down a hill on our bikes, the wind in our hair, and the sunshine on our face comes in part from endocannabinoids. ECS brings us to that place, creating and maintaining healthy homeostasis for our bodies. Think of it as a hammock on a beach, gently swaying as we listen to our favorite song. Equilibrium brings a sense of calm to our bodies and minds. To accomplish our goal of reaching paradise, we need to follow the ABC’s:

Awareness: Gain knowledge of the way homeostasis affects our bodies and lives. The condition of equilibrium presents a quandary, as it is a resistance to change in its very definition. Embrace this resistance and persevere. Only then are we on a true path to creating the healthiest version of ourselves, emotionally and physically. CBD helps our bodies reach this level by working in unison with our ECS.

Bargaining: Be prepared to negotiate with your inner resistance to change. We must learn to accept it, survive, and thrive! Just as a marathon runner pushes their body toward a faster time, pushing past their physical limits, utilizing inner strength to overcome the pain and turn it into performance, in life, we must conquer fears, doubts to take on the daily challenges of change.

Consistency: Embarking on a journey of change also requires stability. We must be mentally stable to adapt without losing all measures of comfort. Building a strong foundation is key to weathering the storm! CBD provides that structure for our bodies and brains to take on life in a calm, balanced way. Achieving that base level of homeostasis provides stability during the uproar of change.

CBD skincare benefits and how good it is.

CBD eye cream organic

CBD works for age-spots, acne, and more.

CBD started catching my eye for skin care with anti-aging and acne-fighting properties. Therefore, it contains high levels of anti-inflammatory and antioxidants. Certainly, I couldn’t resist because CBD in my skincare for acne and anti-aging just makes sense. The research shows that CBD can help reduce redness, inflammation, calm the skin, fight age spots, and possibly help with signs of rosacea; as an esthetician, it got me! I had to find out how CBD would perform in my skincare. Could CBD really provide the anti-aging and acne benefits it is said to? Let’s find out.

Digging deeper into CBD

Then I dug into the fact that CBD contains extremely high antioxidant levels that can benefit a skincare regimen. If you’re unfamiliar with what high antioxidants do, they: reduce signs of aging, such as fine lines, wrinkles, firmness and elasticity, uneven skin texture, and hyperpigmentation; it also nourishes the cells. As an esthetician, the above totally had me hooked! How could I resist adding CBD to my line for its anti-aging, wrinkle-reducing properties along with its performance on acne and age spots?

So the benefits of CBD are there, but the other ingredients are just as crucial in having an effective skin line. You can’t take CBD and infuse it into low-quality ingredients and expect a high-quality product. They go hand in hand! Luckily I already had an effective skincare line that would mesh perfectly with the added benefits of CBD. I did just that, and the results that followed were even better than predicted.

When I added CBD, I ended up with an even more effective skincare line, giving results quickly. Building a following with, as I say, “skincare junkies” and those looking for the best, natural skincare products. My products I boast for the same reason my customers boast about them because they visibly improve the skin.

What is Homeostasis and how does CBD affect it?

CBD and homeostasis

Like a surfer on a wave, your body is constantly shifting to keep balanced and healthy. In short, an internal self-regulating system. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) helps to maintain this balance called Homeostasis and CBD helps.

Homeostasis is the balance of all body systems and functions. Most importantly, it keeps our bodies at an optimal state and in tune. Being a vital part of our physical cycle in our every day lives. With CBD, the homeostasis nourished.

Cannabinoids are essential for our health, homeostasis, and they tie in deeply with CBD. Our bodies naturally produce endocannabinoids (endo meaning, internally made) that bind to cell membrane receptors, as a result, binding together like two puzzle pieces. Above all, these endocannabinoids work with receptors to encourage the balanced functions impacting appetite, sleep cycles, relaxation, and cognition. The ECS also assists in the body’s overall recovery and repair.

We can activate our endocannabinoid system using a phytocannabinoid (phyto, meaning plant origin) known as CBD. The hemp plant has 113 known cannabinoids, and CBD is just one of them. Those cannabinoids show up concentrated as resin trichomes (hairs) on the plant.

When it comes to extracting CBD from hemp plants, the CBD molecules can be 100% isolated, which means leaving THC molecules behind, along with the impairing effects.

In short, cannabinoids and CBD play a significant role in homeostasis. Therefore, providing balance to our bodies. Do you get enough CBD in your daily regimen?
